Indivumed cooperates closely with scientists around the world both in academia and industry. Among those collaborations are the following:
Research collaboration with the National Cancer Institute (NCI)
Indivumed has entered a two year research contract with the Office of Biobanking and Biospecimen Research (OBBR) of the NCI. The goal of the project is to define intrasurgical factors that might impact molecular tissue data of surgical specimen.
Partnership with Georgetown University in Washington DC
Indivumed has entered a strategic partnership with Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University in Washington DC. The goal of this partnership is to develop individualized cancer therapies based on Indivumed’s biobanking standard and a data base named G-DOC that is supposed to combine clinical data with a tremendous pool of newly created molecular data derived from Indivumed’s biobank resource.
Research agreement with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA)
The FDA has decided to use Indivumed’s resources to obtain clinically relevant data regarding target expression and for analyzing drug effects in viable cancer tissue. Within the scope of the FDA-funded research project Indivumed will analyze the safety pattern of clinically used drugs which are under suspicion to have serious side effects in cancer patients.
