Through its daughter company Inostics GmbH (www.inostics.com) Indivumed can offer a broad range of DNA-analytical services, in particular molecular tests for the detection of somatic mutations, in patients’ blood and tumor tissue. The tests are developed to accelerate the drug development process by improving patient stratification/enrichment, drug safety assessment, and response measurement as well as the clinical management. They include PCR-based detection of mutation and DNA sequencing possibly after LCM preparation of tissue (see: Laser Capture Microdissection).
A key technology of Inostics is BEAMing, an approach which is extremely sensitive and allows quantification of mutated DNA from plasma samples of cancer patients.
